CHRIS'S COMEBACK
Yep, that's right! Agent Spender [Chrs Owens] will have a reoccuring role. Here is an article that was found in PEOPLE magazine.

The X-Files is welcoming a new star: Chris Owens, a tall, single. brown-eyed Canadian, will turn up in a recurring role as Special Agent Jeffery Spender. But that doesn't mean that David Duchovny is leaving. In fact, after Owens appeared in an episode last season, Duchovny reportedly told "X-Files" executive producer Chris Carter that the show should use Owens more often. Although the "X-Files" producers are still deciding whether to move the series from Vancouver to Los Angeles, as Duchovny would like, the star says all is well on and off the set.
"Chris Carter quoted as saying the only thing we ever argue about is who pays the check at dinner--and that is a bald-faced lie." quips Duchovny. "he's never once made a move for the check. The lies must end right here, right now." As for the new guy on the block, Duchovny is reserving judgement. "It remains to be seen," says the actor, "whether Chis Owens is going to pay for anything."
